Historical NoteReturn to Top
Since four years after its 1890 founding, Washington State University participated in intercollegiate football. Filming of those competitions began in the 1920s and continues today.

This group of films consists chiefly of "coaching format" images of football games in the 1970s and 1980s. A few films, however, are are highlight sequences, these emanating from television production.

The films are arranged chronologically in one series.
Acquisition Information
The WSU football game films were received by Washington State University Libraries in February of 1980 (UA 80-8), August of 1984 (UA 84-26), and September (UA 85-46) and October (UA 85-53) of 1985. Films accessioned in September, 1986 (UA 86-24) were added to this record group in September, 1986.
