Historical Note

In 1930 F.M. Rothrock, a Spokane businessman and stockman, acquired the Old Union Stockyards. It is one of the region’s largest stock auction houses.

Content Description

The collection consists of seven volumes of scrapbooks, 1914-1947, that contain livestock market quotations, clippings, photographs, and ephemeral items. There is also a file of correspondence, 1915-1917, relating to favorable railroad freight rates on purebred livestock shipments.
