Biographical Note
Japanese prima donna who had her first appearance in Seattle in 1925. She sang on Seattle radio stations 1925-28, in Italy 1928-31 and in 1931 was the leading soprano with the Seattle Civic Opera Company. She founded the Japanese Cultural Broadcasting Association over KRKD in Los Angeles.

Tape-recorded interview conducted by Richard Berner, 1967; part of program of the Farewell Grand Vocal Concert of Miyoshi Sugi Machi, February 13, 1928.
Tape recording ends abruptly in the middle of a sentence, 10/4/83.
