Historical Note
The Psychology Department of Central Washington University began planning for a new building in 1968. The construction of the building was completed in 1973, though some modifications to the building are included in this collection.
Content Description
This collection includes a survey of Central Washington University faculty and staff, who were asked about the features they would like in a new psychology building. The collection also includes budget materials and a calendar of the building's construction.
Graduate student projects are also included in this collection.
Historical Background
Central Washington University began as the Washington State Normal School in 1891. In 1937, the school was rechristened the Central Washington College of Education. In 1961, the school became Central Washington State College and, finally, in 1977, Central Washington University.
