Historical NoteReturn to Top
WSU's Fine Arts program dates to 1906, though for some years it was administered jointly, first as Music and Applied Design (1918-1922) then as Music and Fine Arts (1922-1947). From 1947 forward it has again been just Fine Arts. They have been teaching Photography at WSU since at least 1905, though initially it was for scientific purposes, part of Zoology. It migrated to Fine Arts by 1922.
