Biographical Note
Alice Bryant was born Alice Franklin in Fredricktown, Missouri, 0n May 1, 1899. She was a leader in the anti-war movement and an officer of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. She was a worker for Democratic Party politics. Ms. Bryant was a candidate for United States Representative from the 1st Congressional District, Seattle, Washington, and also ran for the Senate. She died in Seattle on June 7, 1977.

Correspondence, writings, financial records, address and subject files, clippings, sound recordings, photos, and other papers, relating to Bryant's activities in the anti-war movement, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, and Democratic Party, and her candidacy for U.S. representative from the 1st Congressional District, Seattle, Wash. Persons represented include Henry M. Jackson and Thomas M. Pelly.
