Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Brian T. Harvey (1944-2005) was a WSU English and History graduate. Professionally a software programmer, he was an amateur photographer working on his Masters in Anthropology when he was diagnosed with mesothelioma, after which he became an advocate against asbestos and for those similarly afflicted until his death.

The collections consists of approximately 4800 photographic prints and slides, primarily dealing with the environment, often brides and dams. They date from 1975 to 1983, and are primarily, but not exclusively, form the northwest. Also included is a brief biographical file, and a page from the Congressional Record where he was honored in Congress by Patty Murray.
