Description: People at Work
African Americans are documented in various clerical situations: women and men are seen working, typing, answering telephones, and filing. A mounted sign in one office reads, "Seattle Chamber of Commerce." An African American man is playing records and speaking into a microphone, presumably working as a disc jockey for a radio station. An interview is being conducted with an African American man working as a mechanic at an automobile garage. A young black woman is attending to a customer at a beauty salon, and her supervisor is being interviewed at the front desk. Two white men are working in a machine shop.
This film was possibly part of the Urban League's On-The-Job Training Program.
