Administrative Information

Arrangement

Individual reports are arranged chronologically; reports generally are identified with a five to seven digit identification number of the format YY/DD-NNN, where YY is the year of issuance (19YY), DD is a departmental identification number, and NNN is a chronological numbering within each year, irregardless of department. In organizing these reports, the departmental number has been ignored, though it has been recorded as research tool.

Materials predating 1960 are compiled in folders by subject, as no comprehensive numbering system existed. The short series of Research Project Proposals is arranged chronologically.

Acquisition Information

Reports of the Research Division of the Washington State University College of Engineering were donated to the University Archives in February, 1995 by Lana Redfield as UA1995-04. A much smaller set of reports had been donated by Lloyd Crane in January of 1992 as UA1992-02. Both sets were combined and processed from September to November of 2008.

This collection was processed in 2008 by University Archivist Mark O'English, Beth Erdey, and Tim Mace.
