Biographical Note
Edwin E. Swergal worked for railroads in all sections of the United States from 1889 until his retirement in 1958. He aspired to become a freelance writer with a special interest in western railroad history and, later, Indian history. Many of Swergal’s manuscripts were rejected by publishers, but a few appeared in railroad trade magazines and Sunday supplements.
