Historical NoteReturn to Top

David Powers is an experienced skier and has been skiing at Snowbird, Alta, Utah for 35 years. To this day, he provides daily observations on snow conditions in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah to help and inform other skiers and snowboarders. Powers makes his assessments at Snowbird by personally sampling the snow every day, averaging about 130 days of skiing every year.

The video starts with shots of the snowy mountains. Part of the mountain has the phrase, "SO BAD" etched onto it. The video then shows a group of people taking a ski lift up the mountain at various angles. That group then repeatedly skis downhill, likely throughout the course of one day.

This video shows a group of people skiing downhill, either recreationally or for practice. This video also shows that group of people boarding, riding, and exiting an Alpine helicopter several times. There is a long scratch across the film from 5:14 to 7:10.

The first half of the video shows a young adult with chin-length blonde hair repeatedly skiing downhill at the Alta Lodge ski resort. Later, a large crowd walks across the Alta Lodge ski resort, and they begin skiing and hanging out with the first young adult. Finally, the same young adult skateboards in the mountains.
