Biographical Note

Henry Harmon Spalding (1803-1874) and Eliza Hart Spalding (1807-1851) were pioneer missionaries in the Pacific Northwest. Their sons, including Henry Hart Spalding (1839-1898), were actively engaged in various businesses in Almota, Washington. Horace H. Spalding (1881-1962) was one of Henry Hart's eight children. Horace married Belle Russell (1888-1971) in 1910, and had two children. Horace and Belle were long-time residents of Spokane, Washington.
