Historical Note
The Irrigation Experiment Station was authorized by the state legislature in 1917, and opened in Prosser, Washington on May 24, 1919. In 1965 the name was changed to the Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center (IAREC).
Content Description
Primarily consists of maps and drawings related to the Columbia Basin Project. Includes road maps, topographical maps, as well as soil survey maps. Maps from about 1938-1965.

Maps are neatly stacked in a rough chronological order. Some maps are out of place but primarily they are in chronological ascending order. UA1992-05 can be located in the tan oversized map case located near the large document scanner.
