The University of Oregon's Native American Student Union (1967- ) is a student led organization that works to recruit, retain, and support university students from Native American nations and other indegenous peoples. The organization produces events that promote traditional cultural values and cultural awareness at the university and in the community, including the Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow. The collection contains the 15th Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow program from 1983 and thirty-five digital images of pow wow posters created from 1977 to 2017.

The Native American Student Union at the University of Oregon was founded in 1967, and includes college students from Native American, First Nation, and other indigenous peoples, as well as their allies. The organization works to recruit, retain, and support Native American students at the university by promoting cultural values and cultural awareness at the university and in the community, and by producing cultural events, including, since 1969, the Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow.
