The organization produces events that promote traditional cultural values and cultural awareness at the university and in the community, including the Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow. The collection contains the 15th Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow program from 1983 and thirty-five digital images of pow wow posters created from 1977 to 2017. English .

Collection is open to the public. Collection must be used in Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room. Collection or parts of collection may be stored offsite. Permanent University Archive public records are available for research, and are subject to state, and in some cases federal freedom of information laws. In compliance with applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, FERPA and HIPAA, specific records that are legally protected, sensitive, private, or confidential are exempt (not subject to disclosure) and closed to protect individual privacy. The Native American Student Union at the University of Oregon was founded in 1967, and includes college students from Native American, First Nation, and other indigenous peoples, as well as their allies. The organization works to recruit, retain, and support Native American students at the university by promoting cultural values and cultural awareness at the university and in the community, and by producing cultural events, including, since 1969, the Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow.

The collection contains one program from the 1983 Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow and thirty-five digital images of pow wow posters from 1977 to 2017.
