Historical Note
Robert Alan Goldberg (1949-) is a professor of history at the University of Utah whose specialties include American social movements and the American West. His research and publications include work on politician Barry Goldwater, the Ku Klux Klan in Colorado, Jewish farmers in Clarion, Utah, social movements including the National Organization for Women (NOW), and conspiracy theories including those relating to unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
Content Description
The Robert Alan Goldberg audio collection (1972-1997) consists of interviews condicted by Goldberg while researching his books, Back to the Soil: The Jewish Farmers of Clarion, Utah, and Their World, Grassroots Resistance: Social Movements in Twentieth Century America, Enemies Within: The Culture of Conspiracy in Modern America, Hooded Empire: The Ku Klux Klan in Colorado, and Barry Goldwater. All interviews have been digitized for access and are available to listen to upon request.
