In celebration of Lucky Lager’s 20th anniversary, the company produced a large, newspaper-style publication featuring front pages from major newspapers across the United States highlighting significant events from 1934 to 1954—including Amelia Earhart’s disappearance, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the end of World War II, the Korean War, and Eisenhower’s election—paired with corresponding Lucky Lager advertisements. The publication was designed to present a capsule history of the company’s continuous advertising over two decades.

Schneider visited Ind Coope to establish connections with key personnel, become acquainted with the company’s facilities, and coordinate a joint research project. In the report, Schneider expressed interest in updating his knowledge of European brewing developments—particularly advances in continuous processing—and attended the European Brewing Congress in Rome. The trip served as a follow-up to his 1950 visit, and he noted several major changes in the industry: lower hop levels in ales and lagers, higher carbonation, growing attention to the adverse effects of oxidation, significant improvements in plant design and equipment in Great Britain, consolidation among British brewing companies, expanded use of pasteurization, and heightened interest in continuous brewing methods.
