Historical Note
The Southern Oregon Film Society founded the Ashland Independent Film Festival in 2001. The AIFF began as an all-volunteer organization consisting of five volunteers. As of 2018, there are six year-round staff members, twelve seasonal staff members, a twelve-member governing board, a thirteen-member advisory council and more than ten thousand hours from community volunteers. Over 100 films are shown during the five-day festival, with over 17,000 tickets available. For more information on AIFF go to http://www.ashlandfilm.org

Also included are various photographs of the festival along with pictures from an Oscar Party hosted at Hong Kong Bar in downtown Ashland. There are also DVDs showing some of the films that won awards, such as Best Acting Ensemble, Best Independent Film, and Best Environmental Film, as well as various other short videos.
