Scope and Content: Correspondence, writings, subject series, clippings, ephemera; ca. 1953-1970. These files consist of 2 boxes. Box 1 - Olympic National Park and Box 2 - Olympic National Park Citizen Group Survey. Box 1 documents Mrs. Dyer's early involvement in conservation issues, replacing Bill Degenhardt as Mountaineer representative on Governor Langlie's Olympic National Park Review Committee. Box 2 is a student project, 1970, the results of which were published in "Sunset", Oct. 1970.

Scope and Content: Correspondence, reports, related files; 1968, ca. 1974-1979. Includes research materials accumulated by Dyer on SE Alaska forestry issues for a geography research project in 1968. Also includes information on regulating forest practices within Washington state during the 1970s.

Scope and Content: General correspondence, subject series, reports, writings, clippings, maps, ephemera; ca. 1955-1974 (bulk 1971-1974) Documents early conservation efforts toward wilderness status for the North Cascades, including the establishment of the North Cascades Conservation Council. Other issues including Alaska and other areas of the U.S. are documented, partly because of her service on the Sierra Club national board. Regarding Alaska materials: as a former resident of Alaska, Dyer was concerned about proposals to develop and protect wild areas there. She also collected material for a possible master's thesis in geography on these issues.

Scope and Content: Predominantly the paper records and cassette tapes from programs and conferences sponsored and developed by the Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Washington; ca.1978-1993.

Scope and Content: Correspondence, notes, testimony, legislation, reports, clippings, and related materials reflecting her environmental activism, including formation of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Sierra Club, 1953; opposition to Echo Park Dam in Dinosaur National Monument, Colorado, 1954; support for the Wilderness Bill, 1957-1963; and support for removal of dams on the Elwha River on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, ca. 1987-1994. Span dates of the accession are 1953-1963, 1987-1994.

Scope and Content: Video cassettes, conference procedings, posters, books, correspondence, and other documents relating to Northwest Wilderness Conferences and the Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs. There are three cartons of video cassettes are from 1998, 2000, and 2002 conferences. The bulk of the paper records relate to the 1966 Northwest Wilderness Conference.
