Quartermaster and customs collector at Kodiak, Alaska.
John King was born in 1827. He worked on the Northwestern Boundary Survey, 1857-1860, was a quartermaster during the Civil War, and was secretary to the Willamette Falls Canal and Lock Company, 1871-1873. He died 1915.
