Arrangement
The photographs comprise the first four folders in the collection, organized alphabetically by subject. Following are two more folders, the first containing the Strandberg family letters, and then the other containing donor correspondence and other supplementary materials. One other photograph, of Washington State College in 1907, was removed to PC4, the WSU Historic Photographs Subject File, due to its larger size and lack of direct connection to the other materials. Discarded was a 1906 pocket calendar which had housed the four family letters but otherwise had no archival value.
Acquisition Information
The materials in this collection were given to the Whitman County Libraries by Sandy Strandberg Devaney of Seattle, WA for digitization, and then transferred to Washington State University Libraries' Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) on February 18, 2015, in accordance with the donor's wishes. The materials were accessioned as UPC 2015-02.
Processing Note
This collection was processed by University Archivist Mark O’English in February of 2015.
