The Moose Creek Ranger District of the Nez Perce National Forest maintains two historic ranger stations: the Moose Creek Ranger Station and the Fenn Ranger Station (District headquarters) built in 1922 and 1939, respectively. The files were collected in 2008 at the original Moose Creek Ranger Station located on Moose Creek, inside the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area.

Custodial History

The historical files of the Moose Creek Ranger District were in the possession of the Moose Creek Ranger Station until transferred to the possession of Dennis Baird until time of the donation.

Acquisition Information

The historical files of the Moose Creek Ranger District were donated to the University of Idaho Library by Dennis and Lynn Baird, between 2008 and 2009.
