Content Description

The Records of the Summer Session Office span the years 1943 to 1968, with the bulk of the material covering the years 1946 to 1962. For some unknown reason the records for 1959 are missing. Included are bulletins, time schedules, announcements of special programs and recreational activities, faculty and student directories, budgets for various departments and correspondence. Material is arranged chronologically and no series divisions were made.

Original folder headings and filing order were retained throughout the processing. Prior to 1956 items relating to special workshops in education and music were filed separately; between 1956 and 1958 they were filed under the appropriate college in the "Divisional Programs and Plans" section.

The Records of the Summer Session Office were deposited in the University of Idaho Library by summer session director Joachim Frederick Weltzin prior to 1963. Bulletins for the years 1963 to 1968 were added later.
