Historical Note

The Washington Floricultural Association was established in 1969 to provide benefits to flower growers and the producers of related floricultural products. Membership includes ninety greenhouse firms and twenty suppliers of allied products. This Association functions as a trade association working to improve the conditions under which the industry operates. In working toward this end, the Washington Floricultural Association sponsors the Greenhouse Management Institute. This annual educational conference and trade fair is attended by greenhouse managers, growers, and suppliers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, California, and British Columbia. Speakers discuss a wide range of topics from the growing of specific plants to legislation that affects greenhouses.
