Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Lucile Lomen was born on August 21, 1920. She was a member of the class of 1941 at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She was a law clerk for Justice William O. Douglas before becoming the first woman to clerk at the Supreme Court of the United States in 1944. She died on June 21, 1996 in King, Washington.
