The Walter R. May letter collection consists of ten letters written to May in 1929. May wrote to a number of national leaders to ask what advice they would give to young people about to graduate. The letters include replies from a labor leader; the president of U.S. Steel; the president of American Telephone and Telegraph; and Herbert Hoover, President of the United States, among others.
