- Douglas Mullarky was a precinct captain of the Oregon Republican party, and he worked on (and/or ran) Republican political campaigns in Oregon, including those of Governor's Earl Snell and Douglas McKay. The collection (1935-1950) contains correspondence with politicians, draft speeches, campaign publicity and ephemera, and a few pieces of personal correspondence.

Correspondence mostly consists of professional letters regarding Oregon politics, with a few pieces of personal correspondence intermixed. Incoming and outgoing letters are interfiled and organized by date, 1933-1950. Included here are letters from Earl Snell and Douglas McKay.
There is a file that consists of campaign related news releases, printed matter and flyers, and other publicity. The topic of veterans appears often.
Also included in the collection are drafts of speeches, including a speech recording on a 45 RPM record.
