University of Washington professor of surgery and School of Medicine administrator.

Henry N. Harkins (1905-1967), the first professor of a clinicial department at the University of Washington School of Medicine, was appointed on December 18, 1946. He became executive officer of the department of surgery at the same time and served from 1947 to 1964.
