This collection consists of papers and records of the Pullman Home Economics Association. It includes membership lists, newsletters, brochures, and event programs, and a poster from the association's 2009 anniversary celebration. The collection also contains a selection of material on the WSU Home Economics School, mostly concerned with its merger with the Agriculture program and the subsequent cuts in the program.

Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Washington State University College of Home Economics was founded in 1903. The Pullman Home Economics Association was formed in 1947 by a group of WSU Home Economics graduates. The organization went on to become a community club, raising money for student scholarships.
