Summary
The Brigham City ward, Navajo County, Arizona collection [photocopies] consist of a series of papers about settlement of the Little Colorado River by members of the United Order of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included are two essays authored by S. C. Richardson of Mesa, Arizona, containing histories of the town and a map of the site with the names and locations of settlers' homes on the townsite. Also included is a newspaper article by Eliza M. Wakefield on the history of the town. These materials also concern the Wilford settlement.

Brigham City and Wilford, Arizona, were settled by members of the LDS Church during the late 1870s. Both towns were short-lived, only being settled from about 1878 until 1881.

The Brigham City (Arizona) settlement records consist of a series of papers about settlement of the Little Colorado River by members of the United Order of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included are two essays authored by S. C. Richardson of Mesa, Arizona, containing histories of the town and a map of the site with the names and locations of settlers' homes on the townsite. Also included is a newspaper article by Eliza M. Wakefield on the history of the town. The materials discuss soil erosion, the building of dams and other water control systems, pottery manufacturing, and mill works.
