Included are two essays authored by S. C. Richardson of Mesa, Arizona, containing histories of the town and a map of the site with the names and locations of settlers' homes on the townsite. Also included is a newspaper article by Eliza M. Wakefield on the history of the town. These materials also concern the Wilford settlement.</abstract>

      <p>Brigham City and Wilford, Arizona, were settled by members of the LDS Church during the late 1870s. Both towns were short-lived, only being settled from about 1878 until 1881.</p>

      <p>The Brigham City (Arizona) settlement records consist of a series of papers about settlement of the Little Colorado River by members of the United Order of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
