Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ralph E. (Ted) Packard began his career at the University of Utah in 1965 as an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology. He became the Director of the Counseling Center in 1967 and served in that position until 1977. Afterwards, he served as Chairman of the Department of Educational Psychology from 1977 to 1984. Packard was elected president of the American Association of State Psychology Boards in 1984. He served as the interim Chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning from 2002 to 2003. in 2006, he retired and received emeritus status.
