Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Neal Oldfield Hines (1908-1993) was an author and the former director of the University Relations Office at the University of Washington. Hines was a member of the Bikini Resurvey Expedition conducted by the University of Washington Applied Fisheries Laboratory for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission in 1949. He used this material for his book, "Proving Ground: an account of the radiological studies in the Pacific, 1946-1961".
