Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Camp Solomon Schechter was founded by the Conservative Jewish congregations in the Northwest (Seattle, Spokane, Vancouver, B.C., Calgary, Edmonton, Portland) in 1955. Facilities were rented until its present site was purchased in 1968.
The Pacific Northwest Region of United Synagogues of America (a Conservative affiliation) oversaw the camp from 1974-75.
