Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Lawrence S. Heberle was a freshman at Montana State College in Bozeman during the fall semester of 1958. At that time he was enrolled in a Montana history class for which he wrote this paper. Heberle later became a major in the 50th Military History Detachment of the U.S. Army Reserve and did research on Montana forts as part of the Bicentennial History Project in 1974-1976.
