Abstract: The Utahns for Responsible Public Spending records (1988-1995) contains correspondence, clippings, press releases, notes, petitions, speeches, and memorabilia related to the activities of this organization in opposing the bid for the Winter Olympics. Included are materials produced by the Utah Sports Authority and various bid committees in support of Salt Lake City's bids for the Winter Olympics. Utahns for Responsible Public Spending was a group opposed to the Salt Lake City bid for the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
