Included in the collection is a typescript of an article written by Hulda Cordelia Thurston Smith addressed to her children and grandchildren.

Abstract: The William Fothering papers (1853-1910) contains personal diaries, mission diaries, family histories, professional and personal correspodnece, and miscellaneous materials. He was a Mormon convert born in Scotland who emigrated to Utah in 1850. He was imprisoned for polygamy in 1885.
Cyprian Marsh papers, 1829-1996

Abstract: The Cyprian Marsh papers (1829-1996) consists of the diary of Cyprian Marsh (1829-1886), a certificate of ordination as an elder signed by Joseph Smith (1842), a history of family ownership of the diary, and loose notes thought to be written by Cyprian Marsh. Marsh was a convert to the LDS Church who fled Nauvoo in 1846 and came to Utah in 1853.

Abstract: The Thomas Taylor papers (1883-1900) contains articles of agreement, an autobiographical reminiscences of supervising LDS emigration, and a photocopied obituary from the Salt Lake Tribune. Taylor was an agent for Brigham Young to manage the emigration of LDS from New York to Salt Lake City, and an iron miner in Iron County, Utah.
