University of Utah College of Humanities records, 1966-1978

Abstract: The College of Humanities is one of three colleges created from the College of Letters and Science in 1970. During the period covered by these records, Alfred A. Cave and Malcolm O. Sillars served as dean. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports concerning the administration of the college and its constituent departments and institutes. These are the departments of English, Communication, History, Languages and Philosophy, as well as the Middle East Center. In addition, the collection contains chronological correspondence files of Alfred A. Cave (1967-1973) and of Milton Voigt (1967-1969) who served as Dean of the College of Letters and Science.
