Douglas McKay papers, 1925-1958

Abstract: Collection consists of files on various organizations in which McKay was involved or interested, such as the American Legion, the Oregon Automobile Dealers Association, and the Oregon Mounted Posse. There are political files, including material for the 1948 and 1950 campaigns for governor and a file on the Eisenhower campaign of 1952. The files of the Secretary of the Interior consist of letters, a trip file, appointment books, and miscellaneous personal correspondence. There is a complete file of McKay's speeches when he was Secretary of the Interior. The records of the McKay-Morse campaign consist of correspondence, financial records, and campaign literature.

Richard Neuberger papers, 1930-1960

Abstract: Richard Lewis Neuberger (1912-1960), an Oregon native, was a U.S. Senator (D-OR) from 1954 to 1960. The Richard Neuberger collection consists of correspondence, legislation, published articles, and newspaper articles which pertain to the literary and political career of Richard Lewis Neuberger.

Charles Orlando Porter papers, 1954-1961

Abstract: Charles Orlando Porter was a lawyer in Oregon and a congressional representative of the fourth district of Oregon from 1957-1961. The collection contains his political and congressional papers from 1954-1961. Included are materials on bills introduced in the 85th and 86th Congresses. The majority of the collection consists of subject files. Porter's 1954 campaign materials are also included.

Samuel Moment papers, 1935-1974

Abstract: Samuel Moment worked as an industry development consultant from 1940 to 1954 for the Bonneville Power Administration and from 1955 to 1995 as a consultant to world organizations. The collection contains documents related to the legal dispute over placement of Snake River dams during the Eisenhower administration.
