Abstract: The Edith Leroy Richardson papers (1883-1971) is comprised of two scrapbooks, nursing certificates, and other documents pertaining to and/or collected by Richardson (1881-1977), a professional nurse who was also a granddaughter of Chief Tintic of the Uintah Utes.

Samantha Tryphena Brimhall Foley autobiography [photocopy], 1930s

Abstract: The Samantha Tryphena Brimhall Foley autobiography (ca. 1930) is entitled "Why I Studied Spanish," by Foley. It begins around 1878 when Foley (1858-1948) left the Salt Lake area with her husband and young child in an oxen-train headed for Arizona. It ends around 1930 when Foley, then settled in southern California, was active in church work connected with the Mexican Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The manuscript provides a personal account of the activities of the Southern States Mission in the last two decades of the nineteenth century.

Julia Josephine Spencer Snow biography, 1910-1973

Abstract: The Julia Josephine Spencer Snow biography contain an undated biography of Julia Snow (1837-1909), written by her granddaughter, Beatrice Snow Winsor. The biography records information about her family's move to St. Louis and her mother's move to Nauvoo at the time the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were driven out of that city. Also recorded is information on Julia's life in St. George, Utah, and her decendants.

Ann Prior Jarvis autobiography, 1885

Abstract: This collection consists of a copy of a typewritten copy of the original autobiography penned by Ann Prior Jarvis (1829-1913). This twenty-four typescript was prepared by Floyd L. Eisenhour, of the Federal Writers' Project of the Works Progress Administration in Ogden, Utah, in May 1937.
