Abstract: Andrew Cook was a Montana railroad contractor, state auditor, and later internationally known Hereford cattle breeder and rancher. Collection (1882-1940) consists of general correspondence, primarily concerning the A.B. Cook Stock Farms in Broadwater County; financial records; legal documents; reports; subject files; and financial and business records for Cook's ranching and contracting interests. There are subgroups for several of Cook's construction, ranching, and real estate businesses. [approximately 750 photographs and 4 scrapbooks were transferred to the Photographic Archives.]
