Richard Douglas Poll (1918-1994) was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force, a Vice President for Administration at Western Illinois University (WIU), a successful professor and writer of LDS Church history, and a civic-minded individual who spoke out on anti-communism and academic freedom.
