Guide to Central Washington University Library Staff Association, 1961-2017

The Central Washington University Library Staff Association (LSA) was established in the early 1960s. The Library Staff Association was an organization composed of the Brooks Library staff members. This organization helped arrange library events and parties for the staff members of the library; including monthly birthday celebrations, picnics, holiday gatherings, and retirement parties. The members of LSA helped chip in for gifts and greetings cards for these events and for staff members experiencing hardship. The LSA helped with various developments in Brooks Library, one example being the establishment of vending machines inside the library. The LSA created guidelines for Brooks Library regarding staff policies, procedures, and rules.
