Biographical Note

Glen I. Williams was born in Bottineau, North Dakota on April 12, 1934. Williams graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota in 1958 and a master's degree, also in business administration, from the University of Minnesota in 1966. He married Shirley Larson in Billings, Montana in 1959.

Williams worked as an assistant professor teaching accounting and corporate finance at Wisconsin State University from 1965 to 1970 and then moved on to teach at Eastern Montana College. He became the Dean of Administration at Western Oregon State College in 1981, where he served until he was hired by the University of Montana in 1982 as the vice president of fiscal affairs. Williams left the University of Montana in 1988 for the University of Texas at El Paso. After he retired, Williams returned to Missoula and pursued hobbies including RVing, travel, and photography.

Glen and Shirley Williams had three children and three grandchildren. Williams passed away on April 30, 2016, in Missoula, Montana.
