Biographical Note
Louise Savier Washburn (1867-1963) was the daughter of Thomas Savier, a Portland pioneer and merchant for whom Savier Street is named.
Content Description
Collection consists of two albums containing 360 black and white photographs, newspaper clippings, and ephemera, circa 1890-1960, of family, friends and a trip to Europe. Also included are a small quantity of loose photographs, clippings, and other items from the albums. Subjects include members of the Savier and Washburn families; Louise Savier Washburn; members of the Du Mond family; and scenes of Germany; Crater Lake, Oregon; and Hawaii. The albums also contain a few photographs of Chinese people in Oregon.
