Kiichi and Itsu Hama Shiosaki were Japanese American immigrants in the early 20th century. Kiichi Shiosaki worked for the railroad, which brought the family to live in various places in Idaho: Rockford, Lamont, Tabor. In 1927, the Shiosaki family moved to the Fort Hall Indian Reservation (between Pocatello and Blackfoot) while Kiichi worked for the Union Pacific Railroad from Fort Hall to Tabor (small rural community west of Blackfoot).
