Ed Jurist scripts and production notes, 1947-1982

Ed Jurist was born in New Jersey in 1916. He attended the University of Michigan where he majored in theater. He was a prolific television producer and writer for almost forty years. He produced, directed and wrote The Aldrich Family, one of the first situation comedies in television. He moved to Warner Brothers and continued to produce and write television series, including Hawaiian Eye, 77 Sunset Strip and Room for One More. Later, at Screen Gems, he was one of the principal writers of Bewitched from 1965 to 1972, and he produced The Flying Nun from 1968 to 1970. He was a frequent writing contributor to The Patty Duke Show, The Flying Nun, The Paul Lynde Show, and These Are the Days. He was a story consultant and writer on One Day at a Time, Maude, Diff'rent Strokes, and Gimme a Break. He died in 1993.
