Biographical Note
Professor of library scinece, University of Washington.
Marguerite Eleanor Putnam was born 1890 in Minnesota. She earned a BA University of Washington, 1921; MLS, 1923. Putnam taught as an instructor, 1923; associate professor, 1930-1933. Her professional memberships included Pacific Northwest Library Association, secretary in 1924 and 1952-1954; American Library Association, Committee on Library Equipment and Appliances, 1937-1938; Association of College and Research Libraries, and Washington Library Association. She died in 1966.
