Historical Note
The Stan Lee Memorabilia collection relates to Stan Lee- an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. The American Heritage Center worked with student interns and the University of Wyoming to produce both the Stan Lee Exhibit and the Stan Lee SuperCon event at the University. This collection commemorates materials created by artists like Alex Saviuk for these events, as well as guest speaker, Kim Luperi, a former Stan Lee employee who gave a talk at the AHC during the exhibit’s run.
Content Description
This collection contains digital material related to the talk that a former Stan Lee employee, Kim Luperi, gave during the 2024 American Heritage Center Stan Lee Exhibit, and drawings created by visitors during the exhibit. Also included is original artwork from Alex Saviuk that was used for the “Stan Lee SuperCon” event, as well as Son of Origins of Marvel Comics, a book by Stan Lee, and a “Super Spidey Stories” comic book. The collection also contains a neon sign that is a replica of Stan’s signature.
