Historical Note
Carl R. Oslund (1911-1994) was an engineer-surveyor at the Fort Phil Kearny site. He was hired to locate the sites of the Wagon Box Fight, original flagpole, and stockade lines at the Fort.
Content Description
Collection contains materials concerning Fort Phil Kearny in Wyoming, including a brick used in construction; copies of plan drawings of Fort Phil Kearny; an artifact from a wagon wheel assembly; photographs of localities, transit and spikes, and an ox train through the site in the 1880s.
